to think or not to think...?

you know how we say, "i'm totally blank!" when we can't think of anything to say due to shock or surprise? well, what color is that blank? most of us would say, "white." but i thought about it and concluded that it's black instead. it's not the absence of thoughts that makes us go blank, but the presence of too many. this is why it's a black-blank, not a white-blank. it's like a spectrum of light. all colors present together makes black and it becomes difficult to separate one from the other. you can try it with water-colors too. it's the same with the mind too. it becomes blank due to the presence of too many thoughts. and not because of their absence... cheers!
